Proposed Plan ratified by Member Authorities

SESplan E-Bulletin No.4 04.11.11


The SESplan E-Bulletin No4. is now online and covers information relating to the publication of the Proposed Plan and Period for Representations.





(07/11/11) Proposed Plan Documents Available to Purchase


The Proposed Plan is supported by an Action Programme, Environmental Report, Equalities and Human Rights Impact Assessment and various Technical Notes. These can be viewed online and at the offices of SESplan in Edinburgh (which are open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm). Copies of the documents will also be available to view at the planning offices of City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian Council, Fife Council, Midlothian Council, Scottish Borders Council and West Lothian Council. The documents will also be available at every public library and all mobile libraries serving the SESplan area. Contact your local council for details of opening hours and accessibility.

Hardcopies of the Proposed Plan, Action Programme Environmental Report and a CD containing the aforementioned documents, the Equalities and Human Rights Assessment and the Technical Notes, are available to purchase by emailing contactus@sesplan.gov.uk or by calling 0131 524 5165. Please note that only cash or cheque can be accepted as means of payment. Prices of the documents are as follows:

  • Proposed Plan: £10
  • Action Programme: £10
  • Environmental Report: £15
  • CD: £10

26/07/11 - Proposed Plan approved by Joint Committee


The SESplan Joint Committee on 26th July 2011 approved the Proposed Plan, Action Programme, updated Environment Report and Addendum and draft Equalities and Human Rights Impact Assessment for ratification by the 6 Member Authorities. The ratification period will run until 6 October 2011.Thereafter, we expect the Proposed Plan and related documents to be published on 7 November when the period of representations will commence running until 16 December. From this date, the documents will be available to view in all public libraries and planning offices throughout the SESplan area and hard copies will also be available to purchase. In the meantime the documents as approved for ratification by Member Authorities including the amendments agreed at the Joint Committee on 26th July can be downloaded from this website. SESplan will update this website with further information related to the period of representations.’





Development Plan Scheme 3


The SESplan Joint Committee on 7 March 2011 approved the third Development Plan Scheme (DPS) for the Strategic Development Plan. It sets out the programme for preparing, reviewing and consulting on the SDP. Copies of the DPS have been submitted to Scottish Ministers and will be placed in local libraries and planning receptions throughout the SESplan area.
